On August 25, 1947, at an east end Toronto church, Margaret McCarroll married Prosper Brioux. These kids had met less than six months earlier. They were married over 65 years.
This is a 16mm home movie, shot in black and white and colour, which follows the couple as they embarked on a very rustic, rural Ontario honeymoon. There are scenic stops in Fenlon Falls, Minden and Peterborough.
NOTE: the footage was originally shot on film by Ross. It was transferred decades later, twice, to digital. The version shared here is a rough cut of what will eventually be a fully edited record of the occasion, complete with music and narration.
