About Brioux Films

On August 31, 1915, Prosper (Ross) Brioux was born in Toronto. Sometime in 1934 he picked up a camera and started pointing it at family and friends. These are his stories.

Film eventually gets brittle and colour fades. Transferring of the roughly 3500 feet of film began in 2014. The goal is showcase them all here for future generations to enjoy.

This site was designed and launched in 2019 by the little girl in the photo – Ross’ granddaughter, Katie Brioux.
